The Croatian Shorthand Society conducted a national survey on inclusive education from April 6 to May 20, 2024, aimed at examining the attitudes and perceptions of stakeholders in the educational process. The goal of the research was to identify the key challenges faced by teachers, principals and professional associates and to provide guidelines for improving inclusive practices in the education system. 268 working people from various educational institutions in the Republic of Croatia participated in the research, and the data were collected through a questionnaire. The results showed that the majority of respondents believe that they are familiar with the concept of inclusive education and believe that their institutions encourage inclusive practices. Despite this, some participants express concern about the lack of resources and support for students with disabilities. Also, many respondents recognize the efforts of their institutions in providing special attention to students with difficulties, which indicates a positive trend in the integration of these students. The research highlights the existing challenges in the implementation of inclusive education as well as the need for additional training and resources. These results contribute to a better understanding of inclusive education and provide a basis for the development of strategies aimed at improving practices in the Croatian education system.
