About the Journal

EKONOMSKI PREGLED is the journal of the Croatian Economic Association (CEA) which publishes theoretical, empirical and applicable articles, covering all fields of economic science. The journal is published six times a year.

In 1935, a core of young, educated economists initiated the publication of the Ekonomist journal. Its publication was halted in 1944, only to be re-established in 1950 this time under the name Ekonomski pregled. The papers published in Ekonomski pregled deal with the macro- and microeconomic aspects of the theory and practice of economic development and reflect the topical economic and political events in this part of the world. That is why the journal is a substantial reading for the researchers in the field of economic history in this region, but also for the scholars wanting to know more about the recent state of economic science in Croatia. The papers are primarily published in Croatian and English, but upon the decision of the Editorial board in other languages as well.

OJS is open for submissions!

The OJS for submission to Ekonomski pregled is fully operational. In case of any problems, please email lrogc@hde.hr and you will receive instructions on how to proceed. 

IMPORTANT NOTE ON MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Authors are kindly requested not to upload manuscripts directly to the OJS system at the initial submission stage.

All manuscripts must first be submitted by e-mail to LROGIC@HDE.HR. The Editorial Board will conduct an initial screening of the manuscript to verify its compliance with the journal’s submission requirements and its suitability for further consideration.

Only after the manuscript has successfully passed this initial editorial screening will the authors be instructed to upload it to the OJS system. The subsequent peer-review process and further communication regarding the manuscript will then be conducted through OJS.

Manuscripts uploaded directly to the OJS system without prior submission by e-mail and initial approval by the Editorial Board will not be considered and will be rejected from the system.
