Aims and Scope

Geodetski list is a peer-reviewed, open access international journal that publishes scientific and professional contributions in all fields of Geodesy, Geoinformatics, and related disciplines that support the advancement of geospatial sciences and technologies. The journal provides a platform for the dissemination of original research, methodological developments, professional experiences, and innovative applications that contribute to the development of geodetic and geoinformation theory and practice.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, preliminary communications, professional articles, and other contributions of scientific and professional relevance. Manuscripts are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure high standards of quality, originality, and scholarly integrity.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Surveying engineering and deformation monitoring
  • Hydrography and marine surveying
  • Positioning, navigation, and measurement technologies
  • Satellite geodesy and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS)
  • Photogrammetry, remote sensing, and Earth observation
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data science
  • Cartography, geovisualization, and digital mapping
  • Cadastre, land administration, and land management
  • Spatial planning, territorial development, and urban management
  • Property valuation and real estate management
  • Geodetic reference systems and geodynamics
  • Geospatial data acquisition, processing, modelling, and analysis
  • Emerging geospatial technologies, digital transformation, and smart environments
  • Professional standards, practice, and education in geodesy and geoinformatics
  • Spatial information management and spatial data infrastructures

The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary contributions that connect geodesy and geoinformatics with engineering, environmental sciences, geography, computer science, urban and regional planning, and other related fields.

In addition to scientific and professional articles, Geodetski list publishes reports on scientific and professional events in Croatia and abroad, articles on the history and heritage of geodesy, reviews of publications and technological developments, and information on the activities of the Croatian Geodetic Society. By combining scientific excellence with professional engagement, the journal contributes to the exchange of knowledge, the advancement of the profession, and the preservation of geodetic heritage.
