The modernization of Land Registry is aimed at the harmonization of Cadastre data and Land Registry data, as well as at the integration of such data into the Land Information System as a component of the Joint Information System of the Land Registry and Cadastre. To harmonize the data contained in the Cadastre and the Land Registry, it is necessary to carry out procedures for the harmonization of property data (area, shape, and development status of cadastral parcels), as well as data relating to holders of rights in rem over real property. The procedures for the harmonization of real property data are prescribed by the Law on State Survey and Real Estate Cadastre and the Land Registry Act. Harmonized data constitutes the basis for legal certainty in real property transactions and for the establishment of the Joint Information System (JIS), since all real property data are stored, maintained, and managed within the information system.
