Call for Papers

The West Croatian History Journal is a scholarly publication of the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka. The journal is available both in print and online: http://hrcak.srce.hr/cpzh and also at this website. 

The journal welcomes submissions in Croatian, English, Italian, and Slovenian. All submitted and accepted manuscripts will first be evaluated by the editorial board and subsequently undergo a peer review process.

We are pleased to announce the call for papers for the 20th issue of the journal.

We invite contributions presenting new research and insights across a wide range of historiographical fields, with an emphasis on transcending narrow local perspectives. The journal publishes scholarly and professional papers, but also accepts various other contributions such as commentaries, discussions, book and journal reviews, exhibition catalogues, reports from academic conferences and workshops, and more.

The submission deadline for complete manuscripts is September 1, 2025. Before submitting a paper, please send your proposal including the title and a short abstract to: cpzh@ffri.uniri.hr
