Author Guidelines

Econviews strives to uphold the highest standards for published manuscripts and we expect our authors to do the same. If you are not a native English speaker, it is required that your paper be professionally edited (preferably by a native speaker) prior to submission. This will help to ensure that the academic content of your paper is fully understood by journal editors and reviewers.

Submissions should not be published earlier or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The papers should be submitted electronically to the Open Journal System. In accordance with the journal’s double anonymized review policy, the submission must include two separate files: (1) an anonymized manuscript, and (2) a title page containing the manuscript title, full names of all authors, their affiliations, addresses, email addresses, acknowledgements (if applicable), and complete contact details of the corresponding author.

Within the peer review process, papers published in the journal are categorized in one of the following categories: original scientific papers, preliminary communications, review papers and professional papers. Papers must be in English.

EKONOMSKI VJESNIK/ECONVIEWS is a completely open access journal, all content is freely available on the website of the journal. The journal does not charge any fees to the authors when receiving or publishing articles or other contributions.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • Submission has not been published earlier and has not been under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • The abstract is between 100 and 250 words in length. The paper has between 4500 and 7500 words (including references).

  • The paper has been professionally edited (preferably by a native speaker).
  • The submission must include two separate files: (1) an anonymized manuscript, and (2) a title page containing the full names of all authors, their affiliations, addresses, email addresses, acknowledgements (if applicable), and complete contact details of the corresponding author.
  • At the end of the paper, a reference list is numbered and alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each source. APA style is used for references.

Copyright Notice

Upon acceptance of an article for publication in Ekonomski Vjesnik / Econviews – Review of Contemporary Entrepreneurship, Business, and Economic Issues, contributing authors automatically waive their copyright in favour of the journal. The journal reserves copyright of all papers published in it.
