Original Research Articles
This section publishes original, rigorous theoretical and empirical research articles that significantly advance knowledge and practice in business performance, quality management, and organizational excellence. Submissions should demonstrate methodological soundness, theoretical depth, and clear practical relevance, particularly within dynamic regional economies and the intersection of global models with local realities.
All submissions to this section are subject to external double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers, following the Journal’s standard review procedure.
Review Articles
Review Articles (4,000–7,000 words) provide a critical synthesis of prior research within a clearly defined scope, highlighting key findings, disagreements, gaps, and directions for future research. Authors must state clear research question(s), objectives, and their original contribution relative to prior work.
The journal considers:
(1) Systematic Reviews (PRISMA 2020; supplementary flow diagram, checklist, and full search strategy required),
(2) Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR; supplementary flow diagram, checklist, and full search strategy required),
(3) Narrative/Integrative/Conceptual Reviews (must describe the search approach and include a summary table; a conceptual synthesis figure/model is strongly encouraged), and
(4) Bibliometric Reviews (must be reproducible and report the database and download date, full query, software used, performance analysis and at least two mapping analyses with underlying records).
All submissions to this section are subject to external double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers, following the journal’s standard review procedure. For full details, see the For Authors guidelines on the journal’s website.
Preliminary Communications
This section accepts short papers that present initial or partial results of ongoing research. Manuscripts should briefly describe the research problem, applied methods, and early findings, with an emphasis on their relevance and potential contribution to the field of business excellence. The purpose of this category is the early dissemination of new ideas and results.
All submissions in this section are subject to external double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers, following the Journal’s standard review procedure.
Conference Papers
This section accepts extended and substantially revised versions of papers previously presented at recognized scientific conferences. Only manuscripts derived from conference abstracts (not from full papers published in proceedings) are eligible for peer review.
Conference peer review alone is not sufficient for publication. All submissions in this section undergo the Journal’s standard double-anonymous external peer review process, identical to that applied to original research papers. Authors must acknowledge and cite the original conference source (including any reused tables, figures, or data). Accepted articles must include a clear statement of the conference title, date, and location.
Professional Papers
Presents valuable insights, practical knowledge, and professional experience relevant to the field covered by the journal. It is typically based on professional practice rather than original scientific research. May include case studies, practical solutions, best practices, descriptions of professional methods, standards, and processes, as well as overviews of current trends in the profession. These papers are peer-reviewed and should meet the standards of quality, relevance, and clarity set by the journal.
All submissions in this section are subject to external double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers, following the Journal’s standard review procedure.
Book Reviews and Commentary
Book Reviews and Commentary (up to 2,000 words) are typically invited contributions providing critical reviews of recent scholarly books or commentary on current issues relevant to the journal. These submissions are assessed internally by the Editorial Board and are not externally peer-reviewed.
