About the Journal

Vrhbosnensia is a scientific journal of the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Sarajevo. The primary focus of the journal includes theological, interreligious, economic, and philosophical issues. Although it is the official publication of the Catholic Faculty of Theology at the University of Sarajevo, the journal is also open to contributions from other experts, both in theology and related fields.
The first issue of Vrhbosnensia was published in 1997, and since then, it has been regularly published twice a year.

New Issue of Vrhbosnensia 30, 1 (2026)

The Catholic Faculty of Theology of the University of Sarajevo has published the first 202620262026 issue of Vrhbosnensia. Particular attention is devoted to the 1700th1700^\text{th}1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea. The articles dedicated to this first ecumenical council show that its legacy is not merely an important part of the Church’s past, but also a living point of departure for reflection on the development of doctrine, the language of faith, and the transmission of Christian tradition today.
