The dissertation develops criteria for planning urban and architectural interventions that impact the panoramic image of the city. The criteria are grounded in theoretical and historical synthesis and in a comparative analysis of European World Heritage cities, through which typologies and identity-forming features of panoramic images, as well as conservation and adaptive approaches, were identified.
