Poznate se metode ne opisuju, nego se navode izvorni literaturni podaci. Rezultate treba prikazati jasno i logički, a njihovu značajnost potvrditi odgovarajućim statističkim metodama. U raspravi se tumače dobiveni rezultati i uspoređuju s postojećim spoznajama na tom području. Zaključci moraju odgovoriti postavljenom cilju rada.

The journal Zdravstveni glasnik / Health Bulletin has specific criteria for accepting papers for publication. The papers must be original and must have significance and contribution to the profession. The journal only accepts papers that meet these criteria, ensuring that the published content is of high quality and relevant to the field. The journal does not charge authors any fees for the publication of their work (no APC), and does not receive any compensation for the publication of papers. This ensures that the research is freely accessible to the scientific community and general public and that the authors retain the rights to their work.

Funding

The journal is running on voluntary efforts and with zero income/funding from any source.

Electronic Storage and Preservation of Journal Content

The content of Health Bulletin is made available on the central portal of Croatian scientific journals, known as HRČAK, which provides access to Croatian journals that follow the Open Access Initiative. This allows for the journal to reach a wider audience and increase visibility among the scientific community. Additionally, the journal is also uploaded to the SUMPAUK data repository, which stores journals from all faculties of the University of Mostar, making it easily accessible to researchers and students at the university. This allows for greater access to the journal and the research it contains, and facilitates the exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Peer Review / Quality Assurance

All submissions undergo an initial editorial triage / desk review to check scope, format compliance, and ethical declarations. Manuscripts passing the triage are sent for double-blind peer review process (2 or more independent reviewers), to ensure impartial evaluation. Reviewers submit structured reports with recommendations (Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, Reject). The responsible Associate Editor synthesizes reviewers’ feedback and provides a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision, which may be: Accept, Accept with Revisions, or Reject. Authors receive anonymized reviewer feedback and may be asked to revise their manuscript. Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if necessary.

If a manuscript is authored or co-authored by any editorial team member (Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, or Editorial Board member), it is handled by other editors to avoid bias. The involved editor must declare the conflict.

We follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), Publishing Ethics Resource Kit (PERK) and other relevant best-practice frameworks. All manuscripts are screened for originality and similarity. Plagiarism checks are performed using authenticated tools (iThenticate/Turnitin).

Our aim is to foster international collaboration and publish work that contributes to the global health sciences community.
