Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the journal Vrhbosnensia undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity, impartiality, and scientific quality of published contributions. Reviewers are recognized experts in the relevant scientific fields, selected for their expertise and familiarity with the manuscript’s subject matter. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers, and the editorial board ensures that there is no conflicts of interest between reviewers and authors, , maintaining complete anonymity throughout the process.
The review process involves a thorough professional and content analysis of each manuscript, with particular attention to originality, scientific contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and the relevance of cited literature. Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, well-reasoned, and unbiased reports, which may include recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. In cases where reviewer opinions diverge, the editorial board may seek an additional (third) review.
Authors will be informed of the outcome of the peer review process, and all reviewer comments and suggestions will be forwarded to the authors for possible revisions. The editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision regarding publication, based solely on the scientific quality and relevance of the submission.
The entire review process is confidential, and data from manuscripts and reviews must not be used or shared prior to publication. Reviewers are obliged to report any suspicion of plagiarism or other forms of unethical behavior.
