About the Journal

Vrhbosnensia is a scientific journal of the Catholic Faculty of Theology in Sarajevo. The primary focus of the journal includes theological, interreligious, economic, and philosophical issues. Although it is the official publication of the Catholic Faculty of Theology at the University of Sarajevo, the journal is also open to contributions from other experts, both in theology and related fields.
The first issue of Vrhbosnensia was published in 1997, and since then, it has been regularly published twice a year.

New Issue of Vrhbosnensia (1/2025) Published with Transition to OJS Platform

Dear Readers and Contributors,

We are delighted to announce the publication of the new issue (Vol. 29, No. 1, 2025) of the scholarly journal Vrhbosnensia. This issue marks a significant milestone, as we have completed our transition to the Open Journal System (OJS) for all submission and peer-review processes. This move enhances our standards of transparency, efficiency, and international visibility.

The new issue features six scholarly articles on pressing contemporary topics, including the crisis of democracy in the digital age, the theological implications of the information society, reflections on the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the importance of dialogue and spiritual discernment, and a comprehensive historical overview of the Council of Nicaea on its 1700th anniversary. The issue is also enriched by several book reviews.
